AustroCel Hallein wins the PEFC Award 2024

November 2024

AustroCel Hallein was honored with the PEFC Award in the “Chain of Custody” category for its responsible forest management and wood processing - another sign of our commitment to sustainability.

Hallein was presented with the PEFC Award 2024 in the “Chain of Custody” category at the Austrian Timber Talks in Linz on November 20, 2024. The award recognizes companies that stand out for their particularly responsible forest management and wood processing.

“We are proud to once again be able to present and honor five role models along the entire value chain for their responsible forest management and wood processing,” explained Dr. Kurt Ramskogler, PEFC Chairman, at the award ceremony.

The PEFC seal stands for strict sustainability criteria of the Central European forestry legislation and guarantees that our wood comes from sustainable forestry. It is particularly adapted to European, small-scale forestry and is based on rigorous standards. We have been campaigning for this certificate internationally since 2019, including in China - because sustainability knows no borders.

“This success is the result of the commitment and daily work of our entire team. I would like to express my gratitude for their tireless efforts and look forward to continuing to work together towards a sustainable future”, says CEO Wolfram Kalt, delighted with the award.
